Poem

Young Europeans Make a Greener Europe

Europe oh Europe – you grey continent,

With mountains, oceans and unique countries.

Now we want to change something big.

We wish a greener Europe - now,

One, which is admired everywhere,

No rubbish, no dirt in rivers and seas.

The amount of carbon dioxide must decrease.

No more electricity from coal and atomic power stations,

Therefore we need renewable kinds of energy.

No cutting down of forests, no over fishing of the oceans.

Everybody must care.

Wind- and solar energy are good ideas,

The mankind should make more out of them.

Recycling of paper and scrap metal are Important,

It helps the nature and the environment against the crash down.

We must separate from the wrong things,

That’s why let’s work together and we will reach many things.

A poem

Are you?

You are …
A little flower in a meadow so big;
On the tree of life, just a little twig;
In the the whole of space one little star;
One of all, that’s who you are.

You are …
A living being and have so much to gain;
Someone who shares joy and pain;
A guest on this planet, green and blue.
You don’t own the earth, it owns you.

We are …
People, the earth we have misused.
Because of us, it is hurt and bruised.
We can fix it all with hope and will,
What we have done and are doing still.

Remember …
If you don’t have the guts and need a pep,
each journey begins whit only one step!

Ertu?

Þú ert...

lítið blóm á stóru engi;

lítil tala í stóru mengi;

ein af stjörnum í hinum stóra geimi;

einn af öllum, öllum í heimi.

Þú ert...

virkur þáttakandi í lífi þínu

sem deilir með öðrum gleði og pínu;

gestur sem þarf að passa sig.

Þú átt ekki jörðina, hún á þig.

Við erum...

mannfólk, við höfum jörðinni spillt,

misnotað hana og gert henni illt.

Með vilja og von við getum lagað allt

sem við höfum tekið og skemmt, þúsundfallt.

Mundu að...

ef þú ert efins og nennir ei neinu,

hvert ferðalag byrjar með skrefi einu.
